Real estate developer Jack Bistricer, CEO of Talisker Club, shares that these properties offer a space of 18 square meters to a maximum of 40 square meters for its inhabitants.

Its design and distribution are minimalist and opt for the simplest forms, its geometry is based on straight lines that coexist in harmony with spatial synthesis.

Bistricer, who has decades of experience in the real estate sector, claims that this trend is present in large cities such as New York, Hong Kong, London and Tokyo.

These properties promise to be practical and generate a good quality of life for the user.

The people who request these properties the most are young people, retired people, couples without children and singles, who are looking for a different lifestyle.



Micro-apartment amenities


According to Jack Bistricer, it must be taken into account that because microliving rooms are a small space, its tenants have everything they need at their fingertips.

So people can inhabit a small space, but that is complemented with all the amenities of the housing complex.

Currently, the buildings in which the micro-apartments are located have parking, roof gardens, meeting rooms and a gym, to name a few.



Where does the trend for micro-departments come from?


The trend of small spaces to live had already been consolidated a few years ago when lofts became a trend.

In New York in the 50's many industrial spaces were abandoned. So, real estate investors saw a market opportunity and took advantage of the warehouses and offered a new style of housing.
